Eligibility & Conditions for Participation
General Eligibility
At a minimum, students must meet the following criteria to be considered for a study abroad program:
Your acceptance into Kettering University's study abroad program and your participation in the in-country portion of the program is contingent upon the following conditions:

At a minimum, students must meet the following criteria to be considered for a study abroad program:
- Must be a degree-seeking Kettering University student
- Must be in good academic standing, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have passing grades in all courses taken in the past two academic terms, must meet specific degree program requirements for study abroad and have degree department approval. Some exceptions can be made if a student's GPA is below a 2.5 and/or for certain failed courses;
- Must be in good disciplinary standing
Your acceptance into Kettering University's study abroad program and your participation in the in-country portion of the program is contingent upon the following conditions:
- Providing a completed Study Abroad Approval Form, signed by your Academic Advisor and Department Head;
- Completing the Memorandum of Understanding by the application deadline;
- Being in good academic standing;
- Maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have passing grades in all courses taken in the past two academic terms (or have an approved exception);
- Completing Assumption of Risk and Release Form;
- Completing Behavior Form;
- Completing Health Survey;
- Completing all additional forms or requirements listed on your individual portal account or made aware to you by the OIP and/or your host institution;
- Completing all pre-departure orientation activities;
- Making full payment of all tuition and fees by the due date on your account;
- Possessing a valid passport by the designated deadline required for your study abroad program. You must not have a prior criminal record that will affect your ability to enter your host country.
