Health Care in the Dominican Republic

Participants on this trip are embedded within the local medical community through partnerships with respected organizations. In addition to meeting with local medical personnel and learning about healthcare in the Dominican Republic, as a part of the trip, participants will work on a medically-related service project. Previous groups have helped with health classes, basic examinations, and data collection, but specific activities are determined based on the needs of the community at the time of the trip.

This program is only open to students who have been pre-approved to participate by Dr. Moorman. If you are interested in future short term programs in the DR, please contact Dr. Moorman or the Office of International Programs. 

Dates of departure are September 23, returning September 30.
