Being organized before you begin the scholarship process is critical to your financial planning. You should start by researching the scholarships that apply to you and making a list of scholarships that you plan to apply. It is vital that you give yourself plenty of time to gather all documents and materials you need for the application. 

Writing a personal statement: The personal statement is probably the most important part of your application. There is no wrong or right way to write your statement but a good personal statement can mean the difference between receiving your scholarship and coming home
